Frisco ISD (Frisco Texas Independent School District) serves residents in Frisco, Texas and portions of the surrounding cities of Little Elm, McKinney and Plano. Originally created in 1876 as Farmers School District, the name was changed in 1902 as the Town of Frisco began to grow.

Early History

The history of the Frisco ISD began as early as 1850 with the creation of the "Robertson School". It served the areas children from 1850-1935. Local lore records that the James Gang once stopped to water their horses at the school’s well.
